Full Description
In 2025, Samjong KPMG advised on the formation of a strategic partnership between JUNO Hair, Korea's No. 1 hair salon brand, and global private equity firm Blackstone, through an equity investment.
Since opening its first salon in 1982, JUNO Hair has grown into Korea's largest salon brand with some 180 directly operated locations nationwide, with its systematic hair artist training program through JUNO Academy serving as a core competitive advantage. More recently, the company had been demonstrating the global potential of K-beauty services, expanding its footprint into the Philippines, Thailand and Singapore.
Samjong KPMG positioned JUNO Hair not as a domestic salon operator but as a K-beauty global platform, marketing the opportunity to global investors with an emphasis on its overseas growth potential. Reflecting the buyer's priorities — continuity of the domestic business alongside overseas-driven growth — the transaction was structured so that the founder retains an approximately 30% stake and continues to lead the company as CEO.
As a result, the company achieved a valuation exceptional for a Korean consumer services business, and the transaction closed successfully with Blackstone acquiring a 70% stake.
